A Legacy of Healing, Leadership, and Community Wellness
Our chiropractic office was founded on the principles of expert care, athletic insight, and community commitment—all inspired by the work and vision of Dr. Timothy A. Swank. With over 35 years of expertise in musculoskeletal care, Dr. Swank, with the unwavering help and support of his wife, Vicki, built Swank Chiropractic Sports Medicine & Wellness Center, a practice founded on integrity, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Swank, a graduate of The Ohio State University, earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1989, following his undergraduate studies at OSU. He later became board-certified as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP)
Before his chiropractic career, Dr. Swank served as a U.S. Army Officer. His military background instilled a deep sense of discipline and service—qualities that shaped his approach to healthcare and community leadership.
A passionate endurance athlete, Dr. Swank competed in Ironman triathlons, half marathons, and numerous cycling and running events throughout his life. His personal experiences as an athlete greatly influenced his approach to sports medicine, focusing on injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimization for individuals and teams alike.
Even after his retirement from active practice, Dr. Swank’s impact continues to be felt. His legacy lives on through the thousands of patients he helped, the athletes he coached, and the community initiatives he championed—including the development of the Innovative Bond Park Challenge Course, a facility designed to promote teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness.
Dr. Swank was also a vocal advocate for proactive, wellness-focused healthcare. He believed in empowering people through education, movement, and lifestyle changes to create lasting health. His guiding philosophy—*“movement is medicine”*—remains central to our ongoing work.
